Room and board rates at Michigan Tech are expected to go up next year.
The university’s Board of Trustees will consider the new rate schedule at its meeting this morning.
The administration is proposing that costs for existing residence hall packages be hiked between 4 and 5 percent. The standard double room/dining combined rate for the fall and spring semesters would jump from $13,020 to $13,609.
It will cost more to live in the university’s new East Hall. Room options for Wadsworth, McNair and Douglas Houghton Halls will begin at $7,595 for the two semesters. Rates for East Hall, which were approved in December, begin at $10,106.
East Hall is expected to open this fall.
The Board of Trustees meeting will begin at 9:00 in the Memorial Union Building ballroom. You can review the full agenda here.
