With the recent snowstorm dropping off more powder in the Upper Peninsula, winter is not quite done in the region. To help get the state through the final stretch of winter Michigan Department of Transportation will bring back its Paint a Plow program.
The unique opportunity partners with area school districts, so students can express creativity while spreading the MDOT mission of safe roadways across Michigan. Paint the Plow is open to all school districts in the state, including technical and vocational programs. Students are invited to submit creative and original plow designs. This year’s theme will encourage drivers to leave some room between vehicles with, “Give Plows Space; it’s not a race”.
Schools interested in participating in Paint a Plow with MDOT can find more information online.
